Snowshoes are available at your public library, from Active Pictou County!
How long can I borrow snowshoes?
Snowshoes can be checked out for a 2 week loan period. Snowshoes are subject to regular library overdue policies and fees; lost or damaged snowshoes are subject to a $50 fee for replacement of snowshoes and bags. Patrons can also renew snowshoes, if there are no holds already on the equipment.
Who can borrow snowshoes?
Anyone with a PARL library card.
Where can I borrow snowshoes?
Snowshoes can be borrowed from any PARL location, but please check for availability (in person at any branch location, by calling your preferred branch, or by searching our online catalogue). Snowshoes may be available on site, or may have to be delivered from another branch location.
The Town of Trenton will also continue to lend snowshoes out from Trenton Rink.
Can I check out more than one pair of snowshoes at once?
Yes, you can! Snowshoeing is a wonderful winter activity for friends and families to do together.
Can I borrow sets for a large group?
We can try to make arrangements to accommodate large groups. Our ability to fulfill the request will be dependent on the number of snowshoes available and how much advance notice is given. Please call your local library branch or Library Headquarters (902-755-6031) for more information regarding larger groups.
How do I return snowshoes when I'm done with them?
Snowshoes can be returned to any library branch during open hours. Snowshoes cannot be placed in book drops and are considered to be the responsibility of the borrower until they are returned in person to a library branch.
