What is a mobile hotspot?
Hotspots allow you to connect to the internet on your mobile-enabled devices, including laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
The hotspot is portable, so you can connect your device to the internet wherever you go, whether you're at home, on the bus, at a park, or almost anywhere!*
*Please note: The hotspot uses cellular networks to bring you access to the internet. This means that an area must have cellular coverage in order for the hotspot device to operate.

How do I borrow a mobile hotspot?
Hotspots are available to borrow from any of our branch libraries, and you can place a hold online from the Same Page Catalogue.
Hotspots are available for a four (4) week loan period.
Your hotspot loan will automatically renew after four weeks, but only if there are no holds on the item (if no other users are waiting to borrow it).
Are there usage limits with mobile hotspots? Can I stream movies or play online games?
Mobile hotspots borrowed from PARL have unlimited data; you can connect to the internet as much as you want during your loan period, with no data or usage caps.
Our mobile hotspots provide free, unlimited internet access, whether you're browsing online, connecting with friends and family, playing online games, streaming TV and Movies, and so much more.
Who can borrow a mobile hotspot?
To borrow a hotspot, you must be at least 18 years old, with a valid Same Page Library card.
